A boy has a few coins of denominations 50 paise, 25 paise and 10 paise in the ratio 1:2:3. If the total amount of the coins is Rs.6.50, then the number of 10 paise coins is:-
A. 5
B. 10
C. 15
D. 20
Solution(By Examveda Team)
Ratio of the coins = 1 :2 :3
Let no. of 50 paise coins = x.
Value of 50 paise coins = x/2 = Rs. x/2.
No of 25 paise coins = 2x.
Value of 25 paise coins = 2x/4 = Rs. x/2.
No. of 10 paise coins = 3x.
Value of 10 paise coins = 3x/10. Rs. 3x/10.
Total value of the Coins = Rs. 6.50
(x/2) + (x/2) + (3x/10) = 6.50
(5x + 5x+ 3x)/10 = 6.50
13x = 65.
x = 5.
Then no of 10 paise coins = 3x = 3*5 = 15.

Please and please i want an answer of this questio
If anybody can help
paise(p) :- 0.5 0.25 0.1
ratio(r) :- 1 2 3
p*r :- 0.5 0.5 0.3
now, 0.5+0.5+0.3= 1.3
Divide 6.5 /1.3 = 5
multiply :- 0.5*5 = 2.5 0.5*5=2.5 0.3*5=1.5
No. of 10 paise = 1.5/0.1 = 15
15

Coins :- 50 Paise 25 Paise 10 Paise
Ratio:- 1 : 2 : 3 =6.50
1/2 2/4 3/10
So, 0.50 + 0.50 + 0.30 =6.50
6.50/1.30=5 So, Ration 5*(1:2:3) 5: 10:15 So we have 10 paisa Coins is 15
