    Let he purchased 4x apples.
    Apple left after first day,
    = 4x - 25% of 4x = 3x.
    After throwing away 27 apples,
    Apple left = 3x -27
    Now,
    3x - 27 - 62% of (3x - 27) = 114
    3x - 27 - (186x - 1674)/100 = 114
    300x - 2700 - 186x +1674 = 11400
    114x = 11400 + 2700 - 1674
    x = 109
    So, number of apples = 4x = 4 * 109= 436.
