Answer = Middle fingerIf the girl counts the way as given in the question, the counting serial for thumb will be 1, 9, 17, 25 . . . . Hence, number 1992 ( as 1992 is divisible by 8, common difference of series formed by counting) will also fall on thumb. Hence, number 1994 will end on her middle finger.
