A length of a square is 8cm. The area of the square is increased by 50%. What is the percentage increase of the side?

Solution(By Examveda Team)

Area of Square = 8 * 8 = 64cm2
Now Area of sq increased by 50%.
i.e area of square now 64 + 32 = 96cm2
therefore side of square is = sqrt(96) = 4√6 = 4 X 2.45 = 9.8 Cm
% change in lenght = 100 - 9.8/8 X 100 = 22.5%
