A rabbit, pursued by a dog, is 125 of her own leaps ahead of him. While the rabbit takes 4 leaps the dog takes 3 leaps. In one leap the rabbit goes 1.75 meter and dog 2.75 meter. In how many leaps will the dog overtake the rabbit?

A. 520

B. 525

C. 625

D. 500

Solution(By Examveda Team)

Rabbit is far from dog  = 125 own leap means 125 *1.75
Distance is covered by dog in 3 leaps,

= 3leaps of dog - 4 leaps of rabbit

=3 * 2.75 - 4 *1.75 = 8.25 - 7 = 1.25
1.25 m covered by dog in 3leaps then 125 * 1.75 m covered by dog in (3 * 125 * 1.75 )/1.25 = 525 leaps
