If the length of a rectangle is increased by 20% and breadth is decreased by 5% then find % change in perimeter if ratio of length and breadth is 3:2.

Solution(By Examveda Team)

Let length was 30 unit and breadth was 20 unit.
Then Perimeter = 2 * (30 + 20) = 100 unit.
Now,
Length = 30 + 20% of 30 = 36 unit.
Breadth = 20 - 5% of 20 = 19 unit.
Perimeter = 2* (36 + 19) = 110.
Change in perimeter = 10 unit.
Percentage = (10/100) * 100 = 10%.
