The area of a rectangular field is 750 cm.square. If the breadth is increased by 2cm then the area will be 810 cm.square. Find the perimeter of the field.

A. 100

B. 110

C. 140

D. 150

Answer: Option B

Solution(By Examveda Team)

Let Breadth be x and length be y initially.
Area of a rectangle = 750 sq. cm
x * y = 750 ----------- (1)
Now,
(x +2) * y = 810
xy + 2y = 810 ---------- (2)
Solving equation (1) and (2)
2y = 60
y = 30 cm.
then,
x * 30 = 750
x = 25 cm.
Perimeter = 2 * ( Length + breadth) = 2 * ( x +y) = 2* (30 + 25) = 110 cm.

    Difference of the Area = 810 - 750
    (x +2) * y - xy = 60
    y = 30
    x = 25.
    Perimeter = 2 ( 30 + 25) = 110 cm.
