The length and width of rectangle is increased by 10% and 15% respectively then what is the increase in the perimeter if initially its area was 96 cm2.

    Area of rectangle = L * B
    L * B = 96
    L * B = 12 * 8
    So,
    L = 12
    B = 8.
    New Length = 12 + 1.2 = 13.2 cm
    New Breadth = 8 + 15% of 8 = 9.2 cm.
    Perimeter = 2 * (13.2 + 9.2) = 44.8 cm.
