Researchers from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid have invented a technique that types Braille in real time and helps deaf-blind people "watch" television without intermediaries. The technique developed under "PervasiveSUB Project" compiles all the subtitles of television channels and sends them to a central server which forwards them to smartphones or tablets.

2. (a) Prashant Ranganathan
Indian teenager Prashant Ranganathan from Jamshedpur won the 2017 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) award for his innovation for fighting against pesticide and getting rid of its side effects through biodegradable use at the Los Angeles in California.

US President Donald Trump during his speech at the Arab Islamic-American Summit in Riyadh on 21 May 2017, called for an international isolation of Iran, as the country according to him was fuelling ‘sectarian conflict and terror’ and spreading destruction and chaos across the region.
