Stress cocentration in static loading is less serious in dictile material But it is serious for both ductile as well as brittle material in case of cyclic loading. Stress concentration factor is used in brittle material for both static loading as well as cyclic loading.
No stress concentration is more serious in brittle material when there is static loading because of sudden plastic deformation and not able to withstand that load so, crack develops in brittle material.
But in cyclic loading its is dependent on yielding. As brittle materials do not yield it is more serious in ductile materials.
