All industries are affected by inflation in the long-run. In the short-run it's possible that price shocks hit a particular sector, e.g. if the price of coffee goes up because of a bad harvest (low supply, sustained demand) then the goods which depend on that commodity will experience a price increase. It's also possible that firms have an inventory of the commodity, which was purchased at the old (lower) price and thus the price shock is not noticeable to the consumer right away. If the price shock persists for a very short period of time, i.e. a time period shorter than it takes to use up the inventory, then the consumer might notice nothing at all.

But in the long term inflation affects everything and everyone, even banking.
