A wire is bent in the form of square occupies an area of 196 m2. If the same wire is bent ti form of circle, find the area occupied.
A. 154
B. 248
C. 156
D. 248
Solution(By Examveda Team)
Let length of side of square = sarea of square = s² = 196 m²
s = √196 = 14m
perimeter of square = 4*14 = 56m
since length of wire doesn't change, perimeter of circle is also 56m
or 2πr = 56
⇒2×(22/7)×r = 56
⇒ r = (56×7)/(2×22) = 8.9 m
Area occupied= πr² = π×8.9² = 248.8 m²
