Amar can do a piece of work, working alone in 6 days and Akbar alone can do it in 8 days. Amar and Akbar undertook to do it for Rs. 640. With the help of Anthoney, they finished it in 3 days. How much is paid to Anthoney?

A. Rs. 75

B. Rs 80

C. Rs. 100

D. Rs. 120

Work rate of Amar = 100/6 = 16.66% per day.
Work rate of Akbar = 100/8 = 12.5% per day.
3 days work of Amar, Akbar and Anthoney = 1005.
16.66 *3 + 12.5 *3 + Anthoney = 100%
50% + 37.5% + Anthoney = 100%.
Anthoney = 100 - 87.5 = 12.5%.
As Anthoney has done 12.5% work so he will get paid 12.5% of total income.
Anthoney get = 12.5% of 640 = Rs. 80.

    Let Anthoney finish the work alone in x days.
    Therefore, 1/6 + 1/8 + 1/x = 1/3
    So, x = 24 days.
    Ratio of rate of working of Amar, Akbar and Anthoney is 1/6: 1/8: 1/24 i.e., 4:3:1.
    The payment will be divided in this ratio only.
    Hence, Anthoney's payment = 1/8 * 640 = Rs. 80.
