24 men can complete a work in 16 days. 32 women can complete the same work in 24 days. 16 men and 16 women worked for 12 days. How many more men are required to complete the remaining work in 2 days?
A. 24
B. 36
C. 32
D. None of these
Solution (By Examveda Team)
24 men can complete in 16 days = 100% work.
So, one man can complete in 16 days = 100/24% work.
One man can complete in 1 day = 100/(16*24) = 0.26% work
One woman can complete in 1 day = 100/(24*32) = 0.13% work.
One women and one men can complete in day = 0.26 +0.13 = 0.39% work.
So, 16 man and 16 women can complete work in 12 days = 0.39*12 *16= 75% work.
Rest Work = 25%
To complete 25% work in 2 days, no of men required = 25/(2*0.26)= 48 men.
So, Extra men = 48 - 24 = 24.

24M*16=32W*24
1M=2W
1W->1/2M
Now 16M+16W work for 12day
(16M+16W)12
(16M+16*1/2M)12
24M*12
Now Work need to complete in 14 Day so one day work will be 1/14
Work done in 12 days->12/14->6/7
Remaining work->1-6/7=1/7
24*12/x*2=6/7*1/7
x=24
