A car travels from a to b at a speed of 20kh/hr and returns at a speed of 30km/hr. The average speed of the car for the whole journey is

Since equal distances are covered at 20 kmph and 30 kmph,
we can apply the formula 2xy/(x+y)
Average speed= 2×20×30/(20+30) = 24 kmph
