Let he travels distance d in time (18-t) at 72 Kmph with bus.And by train, He travels (2000 -d) km with speed 160 kmph in time t.
Therefore total distance,
160t + 72(18-t)= 2000
Thus,
t = 8
And total distance traveled by bus is (18-t)*72 = 10*72 = 720
