A rectangular water tank measure 15m *6m at top and is 10m deep. It is full of water. If water is drawn out lowering level by 1m, how much of water has been drawn out?

A. 90,000 litres

B. 45,000 litres

C. 4,500 litres

D. 900 litres

E. None of these

Solution(By Examveda Team)

Volume of the tank = length * beadth * Depth = 15 *6 *10 = 900 cubic meter.

1 cubic meter = 1000 liter.

So, 900 cubic meter = 900 *1000 = 900000 liter.
Total Capacity of the tank = 900000 liter.

Water Drawn = 1000 liter.

Since tank has total capacity of 900000ltr. For 10mtrs height then you have to withdraw 90000ltr water for lowering down 1mtr.
