A train A is moving northward with velocity 90km/hr . The driver of train observes that train B is moving with 72km/hr towards west .The velocity of train B with respect to signal man standing near to rail track?
Solution (By Examveda Team)
ANSWER: 115.25 km/hr at an angle of 38.66o west of northSOLUTION: (Using vector method)

v*cosX = 90 ------(1)
v*sinX = 72 ------(2)
Using (1) and (2) we get,
v = 115.25 km/hr
x= tan-1(0.8) = 38.66o
So with respect to signal man standing near to rail track train B is moving with speed 115.25 km/hr at an angle of 38.66o west of north.
