A wheel of a bicycle has inner diameter 50 cm and thickness 10 cm. What is the speed of the bicycle if it makes 10 revolutions in 5 seconds
Solution (By Examveda Team)
Correct Answer = 4.4 m/sSince inner radius, r1 = 25 cm
and external radius, r2 = 25 + thickness
= 25+10
= 35 cm
So distance covered in 1 revolution = 2π × 35 = 220 cm
And distance covered in 10 revolutions = 10 × 220 = 2200
So speed of the bicycle = 2200/5 cm/second
= 22/5 m/second
= 4.4 m/second
