'abc' is a three digit number such that the ratio of the number'abc' and the number formed by reversing the digit of 'abc' is 8:3. How many such numbers are possible?

A. 2

B. 1

C. 0

D. None of these

Solution (By Examveda Team)

According to question we get following two equations,
100a + 10b + c = 8k
100c + 10b + a = 3k
Subtracting second equation from first, we get, 99(a-c) = 5k
Since L.H.S has to be multiple of 5, (a-c) must be 5.
Hence, k has to be 99.
So, the only possible number will be 8*99 = 792
