The Northern Tropical Semi-Evergreen Forests are notable for their lack of bamboo growth. Between the Champaharam Pass and the Kurapadi stream of Bhagat Pass, the tropical semi-evergreens are centred around Bonai. Because of its elevation and precipitation, they can also be found in the Redhakhol region.
