B. 0.5%

C. 1.2%

D. 2%

Answer: Option C

Solution(By Examveda Team)

The acetic acid content in Tomato sauce is 1.2%.
Tomatoes contain lactic acid, malic acid and oxalic acid (i.e. acetic acid).
The major organic acids in tomatoes are citric and malic acids, with citric predominating and their level depends on ripeness and cultivars. Acetic acid is added as a preservative while preparing the tomato sauce to increase the shelf life and also enhance the taste.
The pH level of ketchup is 3.9. This condiment is considered acidic, just like the tomatoes, it's made from. Tomatoes are a little less acidic than ketchup.
