To provide secured Irrigation in Faridabad and Gurgaon districts of Haryana, in Mathura and Agra districts of Uttar Pradesh and in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan a weir has been built on Yamuna river near Okhla (Delhi). Agra Canal System had been built from its right side in year 1878. Revival of Agra canal was done during 1955 - 57 and its head niscair was made to 3237 cusec, but due to incompletion of work in approx. 19 km unit in the starting of Agra canal this canal could not be able to take more than 2100 cusec water.
