An author has stated that cultural colonialism causing annihilation of the national identity is much worse than erstwhile political colonialism: in most cases, the former has persisted even though direct political colonialism has ended. In the light of this statement, how can we check cultural colonialism in our country?

A. It cannot be checked. In the wake of the advent of a free market system, the West would certainly change our traditional culture

B. This is a temporary phase. Our masses would, sooner or later, return to their aeons-old traditional culture and then, retain it for ever

C. We should not talk about cultural colonialism now. We have accepted their culture and they have accepted ours. The new cultural milieu would be different from our old traditional culture, but it would certainly be based on some of our deep rooted values. Change is inevitable; this change would lead to a new global culture in the times to come

D. The western media can be told to move out of the country and even punished, if they do not follow our commands. In their place, we should allow our traditional media and art forms to operate and prosper. That is the only solution
