Certain sum is divided between two person in the ratio 3:4. If the share of 1 person is rs.20 less than the other. Find the sum
Solution (By Examveda Team)
Let the 1st person have Rs. 'X'.So, 2nd Person have Rs. X+20
Ratio of the amount is 3:4
Therefore,
X / (X+20) = 3 / 4
or, 4X = 3X + 60
Or, X = 60 ( 1st person have Rs. 60)
And 2nd person have 60+20 =Rs. 80
Therefore, Sum of the money is 60 + 80 = Rs. 140
