Chand Minar at Daulatabad was built by Alauddin Hasan Bahman Shah. It was erected in 1445 CE by King Alauddin Bahmani to commemorate his capture of the fort. Alauddin Hasan Bahman Shah whose original name was Zafar Khan, was the founder of the Bahmani Sultanate.
