Jhumar Dance originally came from Sandalbar (now in Pakistan). It originated from Balochistan and Multan regions. There are many types of Jhumar like Sutlej Jhumar, Chenab Jhumar, Beas Jhumar and Multani Jhumar. This dance is very popular among the folk dances of Punjab. It is a dance of graceful movement and enthusiasm. In this dance form, the drummer is seated in the center and the dancers encircle him and dance with pleasure.
