1. Odisha State Commission for Backward Classes (OSCBC) has initiated a survey on the social and educational conditions of backward classes, which began on 1st May and will continue until 27th May. This survey is the first of its kind for the state and will collect data from people belonging to backward classes.

2. On 1st May, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal launched an action plan to combat air pollution during the summer months in Delhi. The main objective of the summer strategy is to manage the problem of dust pollution, which has significantly contributed to the decline of the city's air quality.

3. Bihan Mela is a unique festival celebrated by the Kondh tribe in Odisha's Nayagarh district since 2019. Literally meaning "seed festival," it is a celebration of the indigenous crops and varieties grown by the farmers in the region.
