Private sector lender IDFC Bank has appointed former Reserve Bank of India deputy governor Anand Sinha on its board as an independent director.

Gujarat Industries Power Company (GIPCL) entered into power purchase agreements (PPAs) with Solar Energy Corporation of India for solar power projects in Gujarat.

T.K.V Desikachar, son of Indian yoga master T.Krishnamacharya , passed away in Chennai. He was 78.
