A. Forking

B. Pithiness

C. Deformed root

D. High pungency

Answer: Option A

Solution(By Examveda Team)

Delayed harvesting of radish may cause Forking.
It is a common disorder in radishes and carrots. There is secondary elongating growth in the roots that gives a look of a fork-like structure to the root.
It generally occurs due to excessive moisture during root development. Forking generally occurs in heavy soil due to the compactness of the soil. The use of undecomposed organic matter also causes forking.
It can be corrected by reducing the moisture from the field, by balanced irrigation, and also by sowing the radish and carrot in sandy loam or light soil having soils loose and friable.
