Direction Sense Test

To solve these type of questions, candidates need to have a sense of recognizing the direction. See the Figure:

All the question will be based on the above figure. This figure is very helpful in solving the Directional test.

Examples :

1. A and B started from a fixed place. A moves towards North and After walking 3 km turns to his right and covers 4 km. B moves towards West and walks 5 km and then turns to his right and walks 3 km. Now how far A and B are from each other ?

a) 5 km
b) 9 km
c) 8 km
d) 4 km

Solution :
The Movement of A and B is as follows:

1. Starting from Point O, the final position of A and B are K and M respectively. Since, the distance between K and M is (5 +4) i.e. 9 km.
Thus, actual distance is 9 km.

2. After starting from a point, a man walks 3 km towards east, then turning to his left he moves 3 km. After this he again turns left and moves 3 km. Which choice given below indicates the correct direction in which he is from his starting point ?

Solution :
Man's Movement is as follows:

He stars from point O now he is at Point C means he is in the North from his starting point.
