During Jai Andhra Movement the president rule was imposed in Andhra Pradesh from 18^th January 1973 to 10^th December 1973. After nine ministers from Seemandhra region in the P. V. Narasimha Rao cabinet resigned, he had to resign as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on 10^th January 1973, and President's rule was imposed in the state.
