Exosmosis takes place when a plant cell is put in a Hypertonic solution.
Exosmosis is the movement of solvent out of the cell. Due to exosmosis, the cell shrinks.
Exosmosis occurs in the presence of hypertonic solutions. This happens because the solute concentration of the surrounding solution is higher than that inside the cytoplasm.
