A. Xylem

B. Phloem

C. Pith

D. Cortex

Answer: Option B

Solution(By Examveda Team)

Food is transported to different parts of plant through Phloem.
Phloem is the living tissue in vascular plants that transports the soluble organic compounds made during photosynthesis and is known as photosynthates, in particular the sugar sucrose, to the rest of the plant.
The phloem is composed of still-living cells that transport sap. The sap is a water-based solution, but rich in sugars made by photosynthesis.
Phloem tissue consists of conducting cells, generally called sieve elements, parenchyma cells, including both specialized companion cells or albuminous cells and unspecialized cells and supportive cells, such as fibres and sclereids.
