Solution (By Examveda Team)

4pxy = (x + 2y)² - (x - 2y)²
⇒ 4pxy = x² + 4y² + 4xy - x² - 4y² + 4xy
⇒ 4pxy = 8xy
⇒ $$p = \frac{{8xy}}{{4xy}} = 2$$

Alternate:
(a + b)² - (a - b)² = 4ab
4pxy = 4 × x × 2y
4pxy = 8xy
p = 2
