Solution (By Examveda Team)

a - b = 4, a³ - b³ = 88
then a² - b² = ?
(a - b)³ = a³ - b³ - 3ab(a - b)
64 = 88 - 12(ab)
ab = 2
(a + b)² - (a - b)² = 4ab
(a + b)² - 16 = 4 × 2
(a + b)² = 24
(a + b) = 2√6
a² - b² = (a + b) × (a - b) = 2√6 × 4 = 8√6
