In an examination, 80% passed in physics, 70% passed in chemistry while 15% failed in both the subjects. If 325 students passed in both the subjects. Find the total number of students appeared in the examination?

Solution (By Examveda Team)

500 Students
325 students passed in both subjects, x is the percentage of students passed in both subjects total=100%;
passed students=100-15(failed students)=85;
85 is the passed students so passed students in both subjects x= 80+70-85=65;
now x=65;
65% of total students=325;
total students=325*100/65=500
