In an examination, 80% passed in physics, 70% passed in chemistry while 15% failed in both the subjects. If 325 students passed in both the subjects. Find the total number of students appeared in the examination?

500 Students325 students passed in both subjects, x is the percentage of students passed in both subjects total=100%;
passed students=100-15(failed students)=85;
85 is the passed students so passed students in both subjects x= 80+70-85=65;
now x=65;
65% of total students=325;
total students=325*100/65=500
