Solution (By Examveda Team)

In north India pruning in grapes is done in January.
Pruning is the removal of canes in the grape vines. All the canes are pruned back by retaining one or two basal buds. This is called back pruning. The shoots from these sprouted buds are allowed to grow and the food material is stored in it. Hence, it is also called foundation pruning.
The purpose of pruning is to obtain maximum yields of high-quality grapes and to allow adequate vegetative growth for the following season.
