Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council administers the Leh district of Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir. The Council came into existence after commencement of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Act 1995, which was enacted by the President in the 46^th year of the Republic of India.
