Solution (By Examveda Team)

During partition, there was the post of Sadar-e-Riyasat in place of the post of the Governor. Dr Karan Singh was the first Sadar-e-Riyasat from 20th June, 1949 to 30th March, 1965. The term ‘Governor’ came after the 6th Amendment and Dr Karan Singh became the first Governor of Jammu and Kashmir with effect from 30th March, 1965.
