Firozpur Railway Division is headed by Divisional Railway Manager (DRM). The first railway line of the area, from Amritsar to Atari, was opened in April, 1862. It connects important industrial cities and towns of Punjab viz Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Kapurthala, Firozpur and Amritsar.
