The Teesta river originates from the Zemu glacier of the Himalayas and is joined by the Lachin river at Tibet, Lochang river at Sikkim and Great Rangeet river at Darjeeling then it flows Southwards through Jalpaiguri and Coochbehar. Jaldhaka river originates from the Bidang lake located in Sikkim Himalayas and drains Southwards through Jalpaiguri district.
