Marathi Rangbhumi Din is observed on 5^th November celebrating theatre and drama, thus promoting art. It is observed with great enthusiasm and zealous by theatre lovers. Vishnudas Bhave laid the foundation of Marathi drama in 1843 by performing this first play on Sita Swayam. Akhil Maharashtra Natyavidya Mandir Samiti too was established on 5^th November.
