McCullum went past A.B. de Villiers’ mark of 98 successive Tests play

McCullum became the player with most consecutive appearances from debut in Tests. McCullum went past South African A.B. de Villiers’ mark of 98 successive Tests.

In 98 Tests before the ongoing one, McCullum has 6,237 runs at 38.73. The lively Kiwi has also taken 192 catches and effected 11 stumpings.

McCullum is the first batsman from New Zealand country to notch up a triple hundred in Tests.

Apart from the indomitable de Villiers, McCullum has overtaken legends Adam Gilchrist (96) and Rahul Dravid (93), for most successive Test appearances.
