The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and European Union (EU) have signed an agreement to improve Cooperation in Cyber Defence to counter modern forms of hybrid warfare.
A technical agreement was signed at NATO headquarters in Brussels, Belgium between both organisations which have 22 member countries in common.
It was signed between NATO Computer Incident Response Capability (NCIRC) and the Computer Emergency Response Team &ndash European Union (CERT-EU).
Key Points
This agreement will help both organizations better address the challenges of cyber security against the growing threat of cyber-attacks.
Under it, both organizations will exchange information and share best practices to improve cyber incident prevention, detection and response.
The deal has allowed member countries to perform the objectives of the EU Cyber Defence Policy Framework.
