Odisha is the largest aluminum producing State with 54% of the aluminum smelting capacity of the country. The State is home to some of the major players such as National Aluminium Company (NALCO), Hindalco and Vedanta with refineries at Damanjodi, Rayagada, and Lanjigarh and smelters at Angul, Sambalpur and Jharsuguda.
