Answer: Option D

Solution (By Examveda Team)

Correct Answer: Option D: Only either I or II follows

Step 1: Understanding the Statements
Some clips are copies. → There is some overlap between clips and copies.
Some copies are magazines. → Some copies also belong to the category of magazines.
No magazine is a dictionary. → This means magazines and dictionaries have no overlap at all.

Step 2: Evaluating the Conclusions
Conclusion I: "No copies are dictionary."
We know some copies are magazines, and magazines are not dictionaries.
But we cannot conclude that all copies are not dictionaries.
Not necessarily true.

Conclusion II: "Some copies are dictionary."
There is no evidence in the statements that confirm some copies are dictionaries.
Not necessarily true.

Conclusion III: "Some copies are not dictionary."
This would be true only if we were certain that some copies belong to magazines.
However, it is not a universal truth for all cases, and it contradicts Conclusion II.
Does not logically follow.

Conclusion IV: "No clips are magazines."
There is no statement that says clips and magazines are separate categories.
Does not follow.

Step 3: Applying the Either-Or Rule
Conclusion I ("No copies are dictionary") and Conclusion II ("Some copies are dictionary") are complementary statements.
In a syllogism, when two complementary statements exist, one must be true, but we cannot determine which one from the given statements.
This satisfies the "either-or" rule.

Final Answer:
Since either Conclusion I or Conclusion II follows, the correct option is:
Option D: Only either I or II follows.

I think if the Venn diagram is drawn correctly, then the following results can be obtained:
    I. It's not right bcoz they are not in direct relation and no definite argument can be drawn from two distinct elements. (Not in direct relation)
II. Some copies = some magazines and no magazine is a dictionary. Hence it's false.
III. It's 'true' bcoz some copies = some magazines and no magazine is a dictionary. From their intermediate relation, it is quite evident.
IV. Distinct elements hence it's false.

    Ans:- (A) Only III follows.
