The sugar mills in the state are located at Batala, Gurdaspur, Bhogpur, Phagwara, SBS Nagar, Zira, Morinda, Rakhra, Dhuri, Fazilka, Dasuya, Mukerian, Tarn Taran, Faridkot and Jagraon. The co-operative sugar mill at Morinda is the biggest in the state. As compare to the other states, the sugar mills in Punjab are small in size.
