The distance between Dhaka and Chittagong is 460 km. A train starts at 5pm from Dhaka and moves toward Chittagong at an average speed of 60 km/hr. Another train starts from Chittagong at 4:30pm and moves toward Dhaka at an average speed of 80 km/hr. At what time these two trains will meet?

Let D is Dhaka, from where train started with speed 60 kmph. M is the Meeting point. C is the Chitgaon from where other train started and B is the point where train is at 5 PM.
Time taken by train from Dhaka to covered Distance, (420 - x),
= (420 - x)/60
Time Taken train from point be to Covered distance x,
= x/80
In both cases, time is constant, So,
(420 - x)/60 = x/80
33600 - 80x = 60x
140x = 33600
x = 240
Time taken to cover 240 km by speed 80 kmph = 240/80 = 3 hours.
Thus, both train will meet (5+3) = 8 PM.
