The Insecticides Act, of 1968 is an Act to regulate the import, manufacture, sale, transport, distribution and use of insecticides to prevent risk to human beings or animals, and for matters connected therewith.
Entomopathogenic nematodes (EPNs) of the families Heterorhabditidae and Steinernematidae are obligate parasites of insects and are used as biological control agents of economically important insect pests. However, no registered product is available in the market to date, thus it is out of the insecticide act.
